Ductile iron is an alloy of iron, carbon and silicon which refers to a range of cast irons that solidify with a eutectic where the form of the graphite has been modified to spheres from the flakes of a normal cast iron. It is usually produced using the hi-tech melting facilities like the coreless induction furnace but through the effort of our research and development work, the 100kg rotary furnace has been used to produce it in various grades ranging from Ferritic, Pearlitic and Ferritic-Pearlitic matrices.
