UNLEASHING POTENTIALS: EMPOWERING TOMORROW’S LEADERS

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Acting Managing Director/Overseeing Officer of the Engineering Materials and Development Institute (EMDI), Mrs. Fausat Olumide Yusuf, MNIM, MBA, delivered a thought-provoking lecture at the Tech-Pic More Than Certificate 4.0 FUTA Innovation Challenge. Preceding the lecture, Mrs. Yusuf, accompanied by her dynamic management team, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Temidayo Oladiji, FAS, BSc, MSc, PhD (Unilorin), at the Institution’s Vice Chancellor’s Committee Room. The meeting was facilitated by Mrs. Fagboye, Public Relations Officer, and the Ag-Station Manager of FUTA Radio.

The Tech-Pic More Than Certificate 4.0 FUTA Innovation Challenge commenced with the recitation of the National Anthem and FUTA Anthem, followed by introductions of eminent personalities. The University’s Ag-Station Manager of FUTA Radio presented a citation honoring Mrs. Fausat Olumide Yusuf, MNIM, MBA, highlighting her as: “A visionary leader, distinguished professional, and passionate advocate for sustainable development, Mrs. Fausat Olumide Yusuf has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and management acumen, inspiring countless individuals and organizations.”

Mrs. Fausat Olumide Yusuf, MNIM, MBA, Ag-MD/OO, EMDI, delivered an inspiring keynote lecture, emphasizing the imperative of nurturing innate potentials to foster transformative leadership. She underscored the significance of:

– Cultivating a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship

– Developing strategic leadership competencies

– Harnessing technological advancements for sustainable growth

– Fostering collaborative partnerships and knowledge sharing.

Mrs. Yusuf stressed that empowering tomorrow’s leaders requires:
