Following impactful sessions of robust paper presentations and laboratory/workshop practicals, the Institute successfully closed the training program in colour and excitement of the training that began on Monday, 13th May, 2024, with an official reception and induction ceremony for the trainees. Engr. Joseph Oladimeji Alasoluyi (Head, Manufacturing Services Department), representing the Acting Managing Director/CEO (Mrs. Fausat Olumide Yusuf), welcomed the trainees. His remarks emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge for personal improvement.
The closing ceremony began at 10:06 am on Friday 17th May, 2024. The Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (Mrs. Fausat Olumide Yusuf), in her remarks, expressed gratitude to the facilitators and trainees. She wished the trainees continued success and hoped that the shared experiences and lessons would leave a lasting impact on their careers.
This was followed with remarks from the Heads of Manufacturing Services Department (Engr. Joseph Oladimeji Alasoluyi) and Research & Development Department. (Dr. Kelechi. Ebisike). Dr. Kingsley Ukoba (Training Coordinator) handled the Certificates and Souvenir presentation. The trainees also through their representative (Engr. Maigida of AMT-DI) shared their thoughts with optimism that the Institute (EMDI) is fully ready for the speedy actualization of the EVC/CEO’s 3 Cs agenda and we’re impressed and really satisfied with the knowledge gained from the training. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Engr. Omlenyi Godwin (a trainee from PEDI, Ilesa), followed by the recitation of the National Anthem and a group photograph session.
